Kevin was a kind, loving person, who made friends everywhere. Kevin had a special relationship with his mother, Sundj, sister and twin brother. They were a very close family.

He received his early education at Mother of Sorrows Catholic School in Los Angeles, CA. Kevin was baptized at the age of 11, during the 1984 Easter Sunrise Service at Mother of Sorrows Parrish.

Kevin attended Verbum Dei High School until his family relocated to the San Fernando Valley. He then attended Van Nuys High School but ultimately returned to Los Angeles and graduated ?in 1990 ?from John C. Fremont High School in Los Angeles. During high school, Kevin was active in sports. He was an avid fan of the Raiders and Lakers. If his team lost, he was sometimes physically upset.

Upon graduating from high school, Kevin entered the University of California, Riverside (UCR) as a Freshman. While pursuing his education Kevin enjoyed an active social life and was an integral part of UCRs African Student Alliance, focusing on the recruitment and retention of African American students. Also while at UCR, Kevin met Cynthia A. Bruce who became his wife in 2002. In 2003, they were blessed with a son, whom they named Ehryck. They were fortunate to be able to share twenty two years together. In that time Kevin shared his love, sense of humor, sarcasm, wisdom and guidance; attended family reunions, weddings, graduations, baseball and football games, school events etc. Ehryck was his pride and joy. Kevin treasured taking him to school everyday and sharing their joy of retail therapy. There was never a time that he wasn't willing to make himself available to help all of his family, immediate and extended.

Kevin held many titles before and after earning his Bachelor's degree from UCR. Most notable were: Director of the Boys and Girls Club in San Bernardino; and his final position as Owner/Administrator of Helping Hands, an agency he started to serve the needs of adults with disabilities. Kevin was a social butterfly, with the gift of gab and that served him well in his career.
