Obituary

On Tuesday, 5/2/17, my wife of 10 years and 9 months passed away of a massive heart attack in Monterey, CA on a business trip.

I once heard a saying, "When you were born, you cried, and the world rejoiced. Live your life in such a manner that when you die, the world cries and you rejoice." Kim lived that kind of life.

Wherever she went, whoever she met, she brought happiness, laughter and love to the ones she came in contact with. It didn't matter if they were a co-worker, an employee, family member or friend, even strangers felt her loving charms.

So while Kim is "dancing in the sky", the rest of us who loved and knew her are sad, broken hearted and missing her to no end. But that isn't what Kim would have wanted; she knew grief and knows that it is part of caring and loving someone who passed. She experienced that grief regularly as the Executive

Director of the Senior Living Community in Yorba Linda, CA. But she would expect us and encourage us to get up off our knees and live on. Life is too short to live otherwise.

Kim is gone physically. But she doesn't have to be gone in our thoughts, in our hearts and above all, in our actions. Show your love for her through your actions. Be happy around others, encourage those around you and show love and compassion for those whose paths you cross.
That is how to remember Kim. That is how to remind others who Kim was.

Her services will be held on Tuesday, May 16th, 2017 at The Evergreen Masonic Center, 5801 Chicago Av. Riverside, CA 92506, beginning with the Viewing at 10am, followed by the Funeral at 11am and then we will be escorted to the Riverside National Cemetery for a brief ceremony. Afterwards, everyone is welcomed to a small reception back at the Evergreen Masonic Center.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Senior Living Community where Kim worked. Thanks

Mike Cooke
